My Love Affair with the Mustang
My love affair with the Ford Mustang goes back to when I was 14 years old see that’s when my brother bought his first car a1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with a 3902 inch V8, sporting a 4 barrel carb, and an automatic tranny in dark green gold metallic fleck with black racing stripes. Or at least this is my recollection of that some 30 years later.
FordMustangHistory.org is not a blog for diehard car nuts who spew words like compression ratios, gear ratios, and such. Guys or Gals for whom changing engines and trannies is like fashion models changing clothing styles. There are too many powerhouse car sites on the net for us to try to compete with those and personally; I do not want to even try to.
Mustang history is about those of us who have a love affair with the Ford Mustang we cannot quite put to words; we may have owned one, maybe not, may not even want to (heaven forbid), or just cannot fit the family in one no matter how hard we try to get it to fit six.
Whatever the case, we just have a dying love for the car. I will be the first one to admit I am no muscle car aficionado, but in starting this website I was smart enough to seek out those who were. Writers most of which are diehard muscle car fans, classic car nuts that live, love, and die pony car knowledge and know how. I just wanted to share a piece of a favorite time in life for me.
Our goal with this blog is to take and explorer the history of the Ford Mustang from the early days of 1964 ½ to the most current models rolling out of the showroom floor. Our site is geared towards the casual Mustang fan, or those who just want to know more about this incredible vehicle or who are looking to become first time owners. We hope you enjoy our journey down the road in this exploration of one of the automotive world’s greatest sports cars the culmination of the Ford muscle car.
