1984 The Ford Mustang Turns 20 Years Old
Finally, in 1984, the Mustang celebrated its 20th anniversary and it introduced the Stang, GT, LX, and the base L Model. The company was supposed to introduce the extremely powerful 5.0 V8, 205 horsepower Mustang but it did not happen as it was planned. This did cause a little upset to fans of the Mustang but overall, people were glad that Mustangs were still around after 20 years.
The history of the Mustang from 1979 to 1984 is certainly an interesting one. Ford has had its ups and downs with the cars but as the Mustang marked its 20th anniversary, fans were ecstatic that the car was still available and still as popular as ever.
